Fare is a fee paid for a trip on public transportation. A trip is defined as the starting point (pick-up point) to first destination (drop-off point); which is one-way. A return trip is considered another trip.

| If your Medicaid benefits include transportation, the cost of your trips to all health care related appointments (pharmacy trips are not eligible) will be submitted directly to Medicaid for payment by Prairie Hills Transit. Initial advance verification of benefits is required and for verification and billing purposes, we will need your nine digit number. Your signature and the medical facilities authorized personnel’s signature on a medical appointment trip verification sheet is used for all your trips and is necessary for billing and audit purposes. Unauthorized use of Medicaid benefits may result in fraud charges. |
