Create a Job Access RouteShare a ride Carpooling is the simplest and most common ridesharing arrangment. Vanpooling is defined as 7 to 15 passengers sharing one vehicle. The group provides a driver, but the vehicle is ours, saving you money on fuel, insurance, and car maintenance. By sharing a ride, those passengers not at the wheel can read, nap or chat during the commute, reducing stress.Additional benefit to carpooling/vanpooling is it helps reduce air pollution, traffic congestion, and greenhouse gas emissions. Prairie Hills Transit would like to hear from you if you're interested in sharing a ride by carpooling or vanpooling. The service area would include between communities in the Northern and Southern Hills and to and from Eastern Wyoming. The cost would be a monthly fee per passenger, with no cost to the driver. The amount of interested parties will determine the launch of this program. Please e-mail Lisa Johnson or call 605-642-6668 with your name, route, times and how many would be in the share-a-ride.
