Employee BenefitsAs part of our commitment to our employees and their well-being, all full-time employees are eligible to participate in our health insurance plan after their first 30 days of working for Prairie Hills Transit. After one year and 1,000 hours of employment, we offer all full-time and part-time employees the ability to participate in a unique opportunity for savings, financial growth, and favorable tax treatment with our SIMPLE IRA plan. Instead of offering separate vacation, sick leave, and personal days or floating holidays, Prairie Hills Transit offers a paid time off (PTO) program that combines all of these benefits. The Company believes this program will give employees the flexibility to manage their time off as they see fit. Prairie Hills Transit also provides an Extended Leave Bank (ELB) to both full-time and part-time employees. ELB leave is designed for covering periods of absence due to an employee’s illness or injury greater than 24 scheduled work hours. Both full-time and part-time employees accrue PTO and ELB on a prorated basis from their first day of work with Prairie Hills Transit. We will always look for ways in which we may provide additional benefits to our employees at Prairie Hills Transit.
